About Me

Me in the Rocky Mountains circa 2023

Hi! I’m Lucia, a Pittsburgh-based games developer, designer, and researcher. I currently work as a producer and designer for the Center For Transformational Play on a game to teach children and office workers cybersecurity best practices. I also recently finished the Fifth Year Scholar Program at Carnegie Mellon University where I studied game design and interactive media.

I graduated from CMU with a degree in International Relations and Political Science, an Additional Major in English Literature and Culture, and a Minor in Human Computer Interaction. During my time at CMU, I had the opportunity to intern for The Northside Chronicle, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, and Triada US Literary Agency.

I love creative collaboration of all kinds, and I’m interested in the different affordances for storytelling that
games, film, theatre, and books have. As an interdisciplinary game designer, my practice is rooted in empathy, humor, and an exploration of how we can incorporate play into our everyday lives.
